Acknowledging that and distributing something like that, letting other people spoil a well-known hand gesture is what gives people power in the first place. If no one takes it seriously, then the ok sign is just the ok sign and voluntarily handing over power over something to just anyone is kind of ridiculous.
It's not the minority who misuses it that determines what it means.

PS: Apart from that the site also states that "100%" and the numbers 12 and 13 are hateful because some random aryan circles use them and I doubt that 99% of the people think of these numbers that way 👀
