The third place winner in my sons of Horus poll was Imsety, so here he is!
Imsety is the fourth and last-born son of Horus (chronologically -- once again, I must emphasize that they were quadruplets); he is the only one of the four that was always depicted with a human head -- the other three may have been given human or animal heads depending on the time period. This is because Imsety is the guardian of the liver, which was regarded by the Egyptians as the seat of human emotion -- thus, Imsety is also the god of emotion. Of the four cardinal directions, he is assigned the South -- the direction of Upper Egypt and the desert. His name is sometimes translated as "Imset" or "Imseti" instead.
Despite his status as god of emotion, TCotC Imsety is extremely serious and no-nonsense -- he is the stereotypical "responsible" kid and doesn't involve himself with his three brothers' shenanigans. His serious nature is actually a (slightly unhealthy) form of learned self-control -- he forces himself to be serious all the time because his emotions are extremely volatile (again, he's god of emotion) and the slightest crack in his façade can cause him to completely lose his composure. Imsety is very disapproving of Hapy's knuckleheaded-ness, but he still loves his siblings; he genuinely wants to make sure that his older brothers are safe and don't get themselves killed in whatever nonsense Hapy has cooked up for the week, but he has a hard time expressing anything other than "annoyance" without risking going overboard.
Imsety wears mostly Hathor and Sekhmet's colors (with some lapis lazuli for his father, of course; see Qebehsenuef's ref for my initial explanation on deity "color-coding"), as he has chosen to stay in his mother and father's temple and work alongside them. When he isn't forcing himself to be so serious or annoyed all the time, he primarily works with his mothers (they were his mentors). He tries his best to help mortals with properly expressing their own emotions, even when he himself struggles so much with the concept. Notably, he takes the most after Hathor in physical appearance, but Imsety also bears a striking resemblance to his paternal grandfather, Osiris.
Despite technically being the youngest of the four, Imsety almost certainly views himself as his older brothers' caretaker. This is especially the case with Qebehsenuef, and so Imsety often tries (in vain) to convince Qeb to not go along with whatever stupidity Hapy has dragged him into.
