Las Vegas vs Montreal
- This game was crucial for Montreal, as they needed to win this in order to keep their playoffs hopes alive, but it wouldn't be a easy task, as the Royal haven't won against the Bandits since they moved from Abilene in 2015. Fortunatly for them, and unfortunatly for the Bandits, the Vegas's fans held their collective breath as Bandits's QB Sylvester Stapler was injured on a sack in the first quarter, did not return to the game. Later diagnosed with a torn abdominal muscle, is week-to-week. Veteran John Cameron came in to take over for Vegas as the team kept it close, but Montreal was way more motivated today, as with a 101 yards day from Vito Liguistica with 2 TDs, The Royal kept their title defense hopes alive with a 34-23 win over the Bandits.
Easton vs Nashville
- In Nashville, the Bald Eagles were playing neck and neck with the Tuts until the fourth quarter. Tied 13-13. Bruce Staples ran through the Tuts defensive line with 136 yards total, but Draco Lindwurn had a bad day (54 QB rating) as they could only capitalize on field goals. Eventually though, Nashville ended up breaking out at the very end with 10 unanswered points to escape with a 23-13 win. Tuts WR Luigi Jordan passes 1000 receiving yards for the first time in his career (though this is his first season as a starter).
California vs New York
- Never count the Defiant out for too long. Today, New York started the game being really pissed off after several week of problems and that comeback loss to Easton, their opponent thought, you would thought that California would be sturdy enough to avoid getting pushed around.
Yet, that scary New York defense came to play.
Demons QB Elise Beaumont was sacked six times, which led to one of her worst performance of the season (but not that bad by usual normal standards) and California rookie Mark Karm caught his first TD since week 1. Lukas has a 3 TDs game as he outplayed the rookie Beaumont as New York gets back in the win column with a 24-13 victory.
Downriver at Grand Rapids
- Grand Rapids were disapointed by their performance last week against Richmond, and they were about to face Downriver again that they beaten in week 10 by a large margin. Downriver perhaps in for revenge? Not to much.
Grand Rapids offense feasted on Downriver, as Bobby Burnette was super efficient (only threw 10 total passes, but completed 8 of them for 125 yds and 3 TDs). Kova Lewko matched a career high of 3 TDs in a game, on only 5 catches. It was 35-6 at the half, as the dragons pulled Burnette from the game and gave Lockheart snaps. Gordon Hensley nailed a career high 53 yard FG for Downriver, but that was it. Dragons wins 44-19.
Richmond vs Baltimore
- In Baltimore, this game was reasonably close in the first half, as both teams trying to show some pride during a tough season. In the second hald however, it's the flames that ended up coming up on top. Richmond RB Serena Karros returned from missing three games with a broken arm to put up 144 rushing yards, 5 shy of her career high, set earlier in the year. Baltimore would not muster enough at the second half as they fell to Richmond 30-9.
Miami vs North Florida
- It only took the second quarter for Miami to get on top of this game, as Raoul Fernandez had a superb game, having his first 300 yards game and scored 3 TDs, all one after another in the secound quarter unanswered, as North Florida kept fighting still but it was all in vain, as they lose 27-21 at the end over the tropics. Neither teams could run in the game, a total combined under 100 yards rushing.
Texas vs Chicago
- This was the game of the week for a reason. and what a game, it was close to the very end, as Texas coming in to Chicago with their original swagger of old, as Chicago is on a hot streak of 3 consecutive wins. Ramblers had perhaps too much swag, as they committed 13 penalties, which kept this game very close. Andrew Calder had a good game ( 3 TDs, no picks, 105.4 qb rating) as well as Jacqueline Knight (122 yards receiving, 2 tds) while Jean Étienne Tremblay ran for 108 yards and 2 TDs. but in the end, a late safety on Darious Smith at the end of the third quarter was the difference maker. Chicago had a chance for a final drive to kick a field goal and win. Were given a new set of downs on a 4th down attempt thanks to pass interference with 45 seconds to go but Darius Smith threw an INT the next play. Texas wins the thriller 29-27.
