Summary:
Originally created with Apophysis 2.08b, modified with Photoshop CS4 Extended.
Yet another 'I'm trying to re-learn how to do everything' trial-and-error piece... this one isn't as boring as the last one I made (Crystallizations), and I'm actually a teeny bit attached to it. 'Course, that might be 'cuz it sort of reminds me of a cat, in a really weird way... maybe it's the 'face.' I dunno. But anyway, yeah. It's called 'Half-Baked' because you see that white space around the corners? That was me, forgetting that it wasn't scaled down first and so I never scrolled to see the entire thing... when I (thought) I was done, I saw the cool shadow-effect I had somehow created. After touching up a few areas that had gotten passed-over in the shadow department, I thought it made a cool effect, so I kept it. I think it adds a little to the picture, in my not-so-humble opinion. ^^
(Side note: Anyone notice that my art tends to come in just two flavors? Abstract, and fractal/apophysis flame. If only I could branch out a bit... but that would mean I'd have to be able to draw... which I can't, very well. *shrugs* Oh well.)
Time:
Approximately an hour and a half messing around with filters and correcting the shadows.
Created:

Well I like it. I like the other one as well actually, I'm just lazy and posting for both at once here ^_^. The other reminds me of spectral wings. This reminds me of looking into the body/soul of something. Hm... maybe that's just me being weird. I see the "cat" in it. Maybe it looking into the flow of energy in the cat's body? Ah well, its cool. And good to see you're doing art again. I look forward to more ^_^.
