One of the only two things people know about the new Animal Crossing is that the player model has slightly different (less 'superdeformed'/'chibi') proportions. Many think it clashes with the artstyle, especially since some of the other villagers keep their initial proportions, which makes them look like little kids compared to you (instead of along with you).
Mostly I just object because it makes you look like a Mii and I've never seen modular characters done so atrociously as with Miis.
And I usually LOVE modular characters.
