Thormundar - Kernun, the Two-Faced God

"All of Kormun know the legend of Kernun, the eldest of the Four Siblings, but the story of his youth, and the mark on his chest have been long lost to the ages."
The last of a series of four illustrations (the first of which I finished in early 2021) that I finally finished in early 2022, I first depicted Kernun in 2013 as a depiction of Cernunnos, the deer-antlered Celtic god, back when I hadn't thought to put Thormundar together. I revisited the character eventually when I designed the rest of his siblings in 2019 and ironed out the details of his outfit and look.
As for the figure in the background of this piece, it's a significant Thormundar thing that I won't reveal here...

I'd love to see that massively macro deertaur in the background be featured in another artwork piece where he takes center stage. :3
Perhaps one day, hahaha; I'll see in the future. :D
I think you managed to fave some of the other deer-centric pieces in my gallery as well, hahaha
