Finally it is finished!! The ref sheet for my oldest character Goldammer, he is from 2009.
His design changed a lot! I wanted him to have the feel of an ancient evil deity with intelligence and ability to speak. He has no lips so I decided on him being able to speak like some birds do, with a special organ in his throat. His eyes are slightly front-facing, tiny and piercing.
There's a secondary jaw as well, just like his older designs. The older designs also had 4 wings, but I decided on just 2 wings.

I was soooo hyped and curious to see this ref done! I was soo happy when i saw it on my notifications!! 8D
I really love seeing how Goldy has come this far! Indeed he has changed, or better-evolved and improved quite a lot but still very recognizable from his first years!
Goldy has always been one of my favorite dragons that i know of and i love how he has kept, and again improved, his essence over the years. He has always been big, sinister, haunting and Demonic in many ways and i get the feeling that as he ages, his presence and apperance only gets more "intense" and stronger.
I love the ref itself. Its very clean, direct and really nice to look at! The diferent head views are really good (man how i LOVE his front view with those teeth interlocking!!)
I also really liked Goldy's new wings and didnt expect that unique pattern on the ventral side! Again really nicely done with the top and under views! Also they are hugee! 8D
I kinda forgot how BIG, gigantic Goldy is! I love that too! Svart is tiny next to him and would sure love to perch on those big horns xD
Overall super nice ref and im soo happy to see Goldy again in his full glory! 8D

Worked on this ref for ages it seems XD I'm glad it is finally finished.

Loved drawing the teeth too! as for the wings, I tried a new shape and design, also the wings should be big enough to carry him XD And this seems right
He's become bigger with every ref too XD if you look at the one from 2012, he is a bit smaller. But now I wanted him kaiju sized, cause it fits with the world he lives in, and his lore (still writing that).
also we need art of svart perching on gold's horns XD
It kinda feels like a revival of sorts, I have brought him back to life XD

Yesss i remember you shared some stuff that are now on this ref! The pieces of it like the full body and some headshots! They were soo amazing to me already so i was reallyyy hyped and happy when i saw the whole ref done! Goldy is back better than ever! 8D
You know, my fav types of ref are just like this! Simple, straightfoward, with no tons of info (althought i really enjoy reading some info too) and very clean design wise! So this makes me like this ref even more!

I try from now on to make my refs cleaner and straightforward, I used to have lots of info and text on refs (like with Sarghadon), but not anymore! Also I plan to make a new ref for sargha too XD
