Most of which have never been drawn in colour before. ;D
This is also on my DA account, but I like it, and I put enough time into it (a week) so why shouldn't I put it up here as well?
The following is copy/pasted straight from my original post, since there's no way I'm typing all that out again. XD
These are all old characters from a series that my old elementary school friends and I created in the fifth grade. Note that these aren't all of the characters from that series. Some of the least important ones were left out for the sake of space. The series itself was manifest in a number of crappy comics, lots of strange doodles and a number of sketchbooks that later rose to legendary status in the eyes of my friend and I. The first and most epic-est of these books is featured in the dead center of this piece. It's the one that's glowing.
Rather than describe every single f***ing character here, I'll showcase the most important ones. If you want to know about any of the other characters in the picture, comment and ask. In fact, I encourage you to do so. It'll make me happy. 8'D
First, the ten SuperKids. The ones that are more less human and in the center of the picture. They're the main heroes or protagonists of the series. They live in the ugly looking red house right behind them with the gold dome. Each SuperKid has his/her own power, which they use to fight many bad evils. From left to right (starting with the green-shirted laptop obsessed dude), they are:
Dawson, who is the technology wiz and gaming fanatic. He knows every keyboard shortcut, cheat code and technical tidbit in existence and can circumvent any enemy security system. He's the most recent of the ten SuperKids. As such, there's little documentation of him in the original Book. His super powers were kind of open to discussion for a while, since we couldn't decide if he was a tech-junkie or a Final-Fantasy style black mage. :|
Kevin, the emo-looking grey kid beside Dawson. He isn't really emo. He's just very apathetic about life in general. His power is a mix between super-strength and manipulation of metal. He carries a set of iron spheres with him which he will lob at enemies. That hurts.
James, the small, winged one who's freaking out. He's a nervous wreck with very little courage, but he always seems to find the strength to face his foes when he needs it. What comic book hero doesn't, anyway? James's powers are in his special bow and arrows and his ability to manipulate air to a degree. He also possesses the ability to communicate successfully with a number of wild animals.
Robert, the one with the chainsaw. He's spontaneous, he's a jerk, he's probably psychotic, and yes, he's very entertaining. Look at that lovable face. Despite his quirks, his heart's in the right place (or rather, he isn't totally messed) and he sides with the SuperKids. His powers include the ability to draw strength from playing cards of any sort (you can imagine how useful this is with all the children's card games floating about). He was one of the five original SuperKids.
Mark, the one with glasses. He's the 'smart' one with epic mental powers. He can move things with his mind, float and even probe other peoples' minds if he has enough energy. Personality-wise, he has a short temper but is generally stable. Every once in a while, he'll go berserk, and it's usually because of Doggle (look for the white squirrel/dog-ish thing at Dawson's feet) who is just generally irritating. Mark was one of the five original SuperKids.
Jason, the only one with decent looking hair. He's a good-natured prankster with a very competitive spirit. Though he's usually outgoing, when another SuperKid gets him wound up, he becomes proud and boastful. He has the ability to pull nearly anything out of his magic pockets, within reason. He can't pull out living things (with exceptions. He once pulled himself out of his pocket as a means of teleporting) and everything that he does pull out drains some of his energy. That's why you'll never see him haul ass and pull fifty tanks out of his pocket. Would be funny, but no. He's one of the five original SuperKids.
Ryan, the one with the fez. He's the self-proclaimed 'leader' of the SuperKids, though it's more of an ornamental title than anything else. He's a calm, introverted and generally light-hearted kid who is close friends with Jason and Mark. He has the power to create and manipulate flame, which doesn't fit his personality at all, but never mind that. He's the first of the five original SuperKids. Don't ask why he's bald and has a fez. It's better than his old hairdo. Trust me.
Robbie, the one with the buck-tooth and the pancake-like hair. He's a total idiot, which makes him the most epic and lovable character in this entire picture. His catchphrase is 'Duh'. I'm pretty sure he says 'Duh' at least five times in every single comic to date. His power is a mix between super strength and control over electricity. He can also enlarge his left fist for some reason. He's Ryan's little brother and one of the five original SuperKids. Love him to death, because I'm pretty sure he doesn't feel pain unless you tell him to. (he's like a slowpoke. Slow on the uptake.)
Kassy, the only female SuperKid. She's weird. Her current hairdo is actually fairly recent. Her old hair looked like a demented pineapple pinata on crack.... and it's hiding somewhere in this picture! D8
Personality-wise, Kassy is a little vain and very chatty, but generally kind and good natured. She is especially attached to Jason, though the two characters never entered a romantic relationship of any sort. Adversely, she and Robert have a long running hatred of one-another that is evident in almost every single comic. He powers include creation and manipulation of ice and cold. Not water, just ice. She can freeze water, though. 8B
Tom, the one with the beak nose and spiky hair. Last but not least. Tom is a little cocky and irritable, but he also has a strong concern for the team that surfaces in times of crisis. His power is super-speed or limited control over time. We aren't sure if he speeds up or slows everything else down. Anyway, he's a track star.
other characters of importance are listed below.
Palag who should be fairly obvious if you've seen my ID. He's the purple-robed, one-eyed dude with the gold staff. He acts as mentor and coordinator to the SK's. They receive many of their missions and assignments from him. Palag is a nice guy, but his temper is even shorter than Mark's. He flips out at Ryan a lot because Ryan is kind of a spaz sometimes...
Doggle, the little white thing near Dawson and Palag. He's the SK's pet talking dog. Ironically, most of them hate him because he's annoying as hell and obnoxiously cute. Mark harbours a particular loathing toward Doggle and has done some things to him that could probably be classified as pet cruelty. <.<
The Red Mist, the bright red ball on the right hand side of the picture. If he looks familiar, it's because I've drawn him here before. He may be my favourite original character of all time. OF ALL TIME.
Sorry. Couldn't resist. Point is, I luvs him. He used to be the most evilest of villains until he lost his epic powers and turned into a weakling. For more info, look for his reference pic in the OC section of my gallery.
aaand, that's all. Like I said, comment for more info on anything you see here. Otherwise, all of these belong to my friends and I, minus a couple of fan-based characters (the troll and the raptor belong to Blizzard).
