Or more accurately a color plate. This is for one of the Cartoon Cuties books, a spin-off one-shot title I'm currently doing color work for. The franchise concerns cartoon actresses who work for a 20th century movie studio. Here you can see one of the relatively few male characters, Steve Morrow. He's the studio's cheesecake photographer.

Now here's the fun part. While not based on the actor's looks, Steve Morrow was inspired by Robert Lowery. Only after I'd established the character in print did I discover that Robert Lowery had played a cheesecake painter named Steve Morrow! I had no idea! The odds of that happening the way it did are astronomical!
