Future Space Pawdyssey Lore: There is discourse between Artificially and Naturally aged spirits.

Y'know, I hadn't thought about it, but I suppose such a thing is possible with the right technology. And it'd probably result in a huge rift between people who want a 20-year-old aged liquor without waiting, and those who think it's a mockery of age-old traditions... including the ones where you make the good stuff for your grandchildren down the road.

Hopefully, it only results in a few bar brawls and nothing so bad as riots or wars. =P As important as booze is to people, I don't think it's worth fighting over as much as other parts of life.

There's also likely that divide between artificially aged and traditionally aged -- where a connoisseur might turn their nose up to an artificially aged alcohol despite them being essentially the same otherwise. Fun stuff to think about.
