Never heard that name before, but they look like what we know in North America as the muskrat... Basically a skinny-tailed beaver.

Yep. Muskrats and Nutrias are about the same size, but Nutrias have those long teeth that don't look real, lol!

Seriously though where I live those creatures aren't around so I've never seen these things before let alone heard of them until now.

As off-putting as they are to me I'm always interested to learn about different species of animals. I'll have to look into these sometime and do some research these creatures look very odd, but in an interesting way that makes me want to learn more about them.
