Sometimes we have to be brave enough to leave the past behind and embrace what our future holds for us. There is happiness in enjoying what we have, rather than what might have been. She was once so much more. There were those that paid tribute to her, asked her for blessings and guidance. She held influence, even if she did not fully understand it. But those that remembered her name are now long since gone, the remnants of their society are just ruins that are left for those to discover them to ponder. Who were they? What were they like? What happened to them? She could have chosen to be a part of that still, and be forgotten, to live for the glory of the past. Or she could forge a new path, create a new destiny for herself. She made her choice. And now those ruins are as much a mystery to her as anyone else.
First off, no, there isn’t supposed to necessarily be any deeper meaning to this little story. It’s just a little glimpse into the idea I had for her backstory, as well as perhaps a little reflection of some of my own personal thoughts. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to name this piece, but I ultimately decided that the one Hagal came up with suited Fiadh perfectly. This piece to me is a reflection of her embracing what she has become rather than what she left behind. And it’s so pretty! So simple in its design, but so striking with those beautiful flowers and that gorgeous sky! I love how the golds and blues mingle. And ahhhh! She is so happy! I love the happy fairy pupper ^^
