A very rough lineup of the more updated raptors I've done! Sizes are rough as well since my style and proportions have changed over the last couple of years, but should generally be in the right range-ish.
I had others in this lineup for fun, but they don't classify as dromaeosaurids and I didn't want the "acthually" crew to get me in my sleep.
Dromaeosauridae refers to what you call raptors (since the term raptor was popularized by JP and raptor truly refers to birds of prey scientifically).
It covers small to medium feathered theropods with this type of body plan. This body plan consists of having that iconic killing claw with a pedal phalanx (the toe), large grasping manus (hands), and a typically agile figure with a stiff tail that functioned as a dynamic stabilizer. These features may all vary in each dromaeosaurid depending on their environmental pressures but are all present. A good example of the variety shows between the austroraptor with its lankier body type, long narrow snout, and lighter look in comparison to the bulky form of utahraptor that sports a much more deep snout and a bit of an almost humpback.
The point of this little amateur chart is to help show the range within dromaeosaurids!
