This was meant to be the first of a three-panel comic
But I finished this and felt it was so good that It'd be kinda hard to pull off the same quality with the two other panels - a closeup of his face and his computer, so I elected to post this as is. I'm going to write a short story on Saturday to accompany this instead. I finished this a couple of days ago.

What is this?
This is Constantine, aged 42. The Civil War has dragged on for years at this point. He's lost friends and parts of himself fighting for the country he grew up in.
And now?
They surrendered.
The insurgents won the land campaign, and the system Constantine had put all his faith in has fallen.
He's given too much
If they want him, they'll have to drag his brine-soaked corpse to port
This is a defining moment for him. The consequences of his raging patriotism are laid out in front of him, and he'd rather let himself decay into a monster instead of compromising his rigid beliefs..
There will be no surrender
No stepping back
No admitting it wasn't his fault
I may have been going through a pirate phase this past week
I blame Rumahoy and their song about Harambe being a pirate
