The Lim Ba is a rather simple organism found in grasslands and around shores. Harmless worm-like creatures that are pests only to sailors and gardeners, for their scavenging and ability to glide moderate distances using coastal winds. Each of its limbs ends in a sucker-like sphincter that can both grasp and expand out into a broad foot, one of which houses rungs of tiny rasp-like teeth used for scouring additional food from rock surfaces. Though dependant on the subspecies, their common diet is small insects. Anchoring its lightweight body, extending its neck-tendril into the air, then opening its mouthpiece until the membrane is stretched enough to become transparent in open daylight, allows it to create an illusionary flower or simple catching net.
Few predatory species exist, but should only pose a threat to unattended infants. Highly offended by citrus fruits, remember to leave a peeled lemon with your baby if you ever visit the developing Oargoan system. Or maybe paint oranges in their bedroom and spray fruity air-freshener, or I dunno, throw a tumbleweed for it to hump whilst you find a mop to hit it with?
A-Z challenge word : "Bumple Beepole"
Heh, my initial ideas kept going wrong, and they evolved into this. A clumsy big-nosed worm that was blind and bustled around in big packs, using a honk-sounding nose-shove as a way of communicating. Then this. No, I don't quite remember how I arrived at this thing, but suffice to say, it no longer suits the challenge-word and became crazy over-simplified. It'll be thrown in the scraps after I use it for gallery padding for a few days.
