Most would assume that this is an ordinary paradise bird, which it would technically be if we lived millions of years ago, but this one is special. With its brightly colored orange stripe and ocean blue eyes, it certainly caught the attention of many potential mates and even opponents. One may even assume that this smart prehistoric bird had the ability to imitate the noises of the environment. But do not underestimate its strong beak filled with razor-sharp fangs, including the sharp grapplers attached to its wings.

Lately, I have had a couple of dreams/visions where certain dinosaurs revealed themselves to me. I am not claiming my designs to be "real" or anything the like because claiming such a thing is pretty silly, but to me, they seemed too accurate and believable to ignore. And, besides that, haven't seen anyone portray dinosaurs the way I saw them...
I am aware that I am not really an active animal artist, but sometimes, it feels nice to draw something different and "natural". Drawing animals we see all the time is a little bit boring, that's why dinosaurs make for good models as their designs aren't defined. Some of them are potentially more exotic-looking than others.
Working with strong contrasts like this was an adventure, especially because it started out as a blank white piece of paper...
