He's actually a guy who really gets along with his fans. I read in Fangoria that he was joking with them, one asked "Do you play with yourself?" in reference with the Ash toy, they all burst into laughter, and he went right back to cracking jokes. Watch Fanalysis, his documentary on fans. It's with one of the version of Evil Dead on dvd.
