-you have to consider their personality in relation of their age
-alignment does matter for the animal, as they can go from the monstrous tamamo no mae to an almost divine tenko
-it's really confusing which kind of abilities they have, they can just do magic and shit but also there are a lot of specific abilities, such as will o whisps, shapeshifting, soulstealing...
-they must be charming in some way, either by taking gorgeous appearance or just look cute
-the moment you give them abilities/tails without the 100 years (and experience) to unlock each, you've automatically made a mary sue, this is
