More Tuesday Portrait Cuteposting, in which I went back to my long-forgotten Geoterran Beaver design and decided to try making him into an actual character.

In early 2021, I attempted to update the species design a bit, but it didn't quite turn out as expected, and while he definitely looks much more like a proper beaver, he lost a bit of the charm of the original as he wasn't quite as chubby or cheerful as the original version.
I decided to try again, and hopefully remain a bit closer to the original design this time around. While I haven't decided much about his personality and character yet, I have decided that his name is Brennan, and he's probably a bit of a cheerful and slightly dopey slacker, in contrast to the typical "busy beaver" stereotype. Despite being something of a slacker, he's probably quite productive in his own way, striking me as someone that might have an interest in carving little figures from wood, or perhaps building furniture.
I also already have a full-body version ready to post in the near future as well, so stay tuned.

Giant statues? Nah, that's way too much work--he strikes me as the kind of guy to make lounge chairs and the like, so he and his friends can sit by the shore and slack off all day. Set up a little stand by the road, set up one of your lounge chairs to nap all day--err, demonstrate their usage, and sell chairs and tables to whoever happens to drop by and show some interest.
Not to mention, he can use all the leftover wood scraps to make a fire and do a bit of cooking. Now I can kinda see him running some sort of little barbecue stand as well...
