yeah, same. Right now in my HOI2 campaign as Germany its 1943 and I've encircled Moscow, Stalingrad and Leningrad are mine, Operation sealion was a success so the British Isles are under my control and North Africa is mostly under Axis influence. Only now am I starting to run out of some resources...

my best game in Hoi2 was an invasion of North America with germany ^^*
and the two worsest games i got with the current version of Arsenal of Democray played as Australia and one time as Kuba... in both games the Axxis was overolling everything... whole europe was under their controll up to the deepest and coldest russian plains...

I might invade the USA eventually...once I've dealt with Stalin

yes theres a simple trick to early defeat all youre ennemies when you play germay. Dont attack the USSR until yo're ready with europe or better said until england is down and secured. the you can concentrate all power to te soviets. and for the case they attack you before youre do with preperations i build up a strong defence line from Memel down to the hungarian border after poland is annexed. This gives you a lot of time for counterattacks.

The French men are also easy you only had to advance te Maginot line up to the channel Coast and put strong Garrisons into them. The Germans dont get throu them in my french games. so i could easely build up a strong counter attack army and only had to wait until the german soviet war was started... ^^

That's exactly what I did. I built up a guard on the border with the USSR while my panzers were focused on sweeping over the countries of Western Europe (and Spain, taking Gibralter from the British) and then invading the British Isles and taking them before shipping my Panzers back to the border with the USSR to launch the invasion a year late.

With total air superiority and with my strong navy (5 carriers, 3 batteships and numerous heavy cruisers and destroyers) giving me command of the seas, my aim is to force Stalin to surrender and then finish off the British Empire by helping the Italians in North Africa (who are doing quite well) and then invading the middle-eastern countries and take India from the British while Japan is closing in from the other side.

yes that sounds verysimilar to may play style with germany. only diffrence is with spain i only invade id if franco fails, otherwise i try to get him on my side. wich may cut you off from direct mediterran sea ports but if you for joguslavia befor you're allied with italy you can fix that problem. And at moment i'm trying the US/Japan Navy doctines for germay tooworks fine if you get far enouth until war starts ^^ I'm a big problem for the RN with my only two carriers ^^

Franco failed in my game so I had no worries invading Spain. I just took Suez and Alexandria as well so now the Mediterranean is under Axis control.
