Actually, there's a bit of a story concerning the design for Nevermints Kirin costume. Originally, the character was going to be all black with rainbow scales - http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2882887/ When we started to get into working on translating the artwork into a workable fursuit design there were a few problems that cropped up. First, any all-black parts of a suit tend to blend together in photographs - this means you lose any expression in most photos. Also, figuring out the best way to do the rainbow colored scales began to seem challenging. Ironically, just as we figured out the best way to build the black and rainbow design I got inspired to do an alternate colored version - http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4103221/ This alternate version was white with black vinyl scales. This version seemed much more practical to make and everyone who saw it thought it seemed more relatable and sexy. So this is the one we made. :)
