Jaul the Croconaw: Here's a quickie sketch Arby drew up with a little snapshot he took, where I am taking some time baking in the Florida sun next to my alligator cousin. Looks like the afternoon sun is shifting the shade to my spot, so he's going to have to drag my fat butt a little to my right or something... if only I can muster the energy to do so, 'cuz the colder season is making me lazier than I already am...

I was always a fan of Jaul since... around 2010, actually. In fact, he was the one who led me to your gallery (back at my deviantArt days) in the 1st place. I already like Croconaw, but Jaul had style and fun. The way you drew Jaul's mohawk-fin was also very cool!
Even after all these years, this picture still hold up in quality. I mean, while the resolution could be better (yet I should not fault you in that), the integration of your drawing with the photograph is still clever and strong, especially with positioning Jaul in the correct real-life location in the photograph. I also like how he and his clothes shine; they not only look good but also make sense, given the skylight. The lighting in general is actually pretty accurate, from what I see. Even better is the concept; this crossing over the fictional world with the real one is always a fun part of you gallery, but the way you played on that concept by mixing a fictional Croconaw with a real alligator is very great! You top off all this with an in-character monologue in the author's comments; honestly, that gives this picture at least half the fun.
Finding you (and Jaul!) again is a joy.
