Draven Morado: The Violet Huntsman
Artist: hikaristar_art on Twitter
Birthday: Jan 09
Draven Morado: Bounty Hunter/Smuggler Alias "Vy"
Species: Nox Panther
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Abilities: Uncanny marksman with literally any projectile or firearm enhanced by his ability to rapidly process angles and velocity variables to adjust his shots/throws etc.
Spent time training with the Shadowstep clan learning their namesake advanced technique to meld with and travel in darkness. He never fully mastered the ability, needing a fair amount of time to concentrate and manifest the technique so he doesn't have the opportunity to use it very often.
Possessed the dexterity, agility and speed fairly common for his species but often mistaken as preternatural by people unfamiliar with his kind. Some of this was heavily compromised after losing his tail when a transport job went bad so he can be a huge klutz often at the worst possible times.
Weapons: Literally anything small enough to throw can be a weapon in his reach.
Standards are usually twin energy pistols that fire non lethal (Alive bounties are way more profitable) concussive energy bolts. At their lowest setting they cause localized numbness and muscle spasms, their highest level can put even the toughest assets down for a 2-3 day nap.
He also favors dual shock stick batons that can latch together into his "stun-staff" also with settings similar to his pistols.
A retractable bio-mechanic tail that doesn't entirely make up for his own but it works in a pinch. Plus, pushing aside the trauma surrounding the whole ordeal, walking away with what was essentially an armor plated whip hardwired to his brain was hardly the worst way that day could have ended. While the tail can't be removed without a high risk of paralysis, consistent research has been dedicated to finding new ways to utilize the tail. So far they have made progress in making it prehensile but it's still a big guessing game.
Costume: Simple zippered purple leotard and eye mask, long silver gloves and boots with matching thigh holsters. When working as "Vy" he wears any number of outfits and costumes to keep rumors of his appearance and even existence highly varied and unconfirmed.
"If you fulfilled bounties half as smoothly as you chase cadets' tails you could have retired years ago" a comment from an aggravated chancellor's aide nicely sums up Draven's general attitude. Officially an intergalactic bounty hunter and unofficially an accomplished smuggler known only as "Vy" in underground circles. If you needed it shipped from A to B without a lot of import checks and paperwork, Vy was the man to see. Being often employed by governing bodies and grudgingly partnered with military or law enforcement in his legitimate duties, sometimes made his life exceedingly difficult. Once even forced to finesse his way around taking contracts to arrest Vy himself.
After finding himself a victim of circumstance, used as a pawn in a gigantic mess of political maneuvers, deception, mistaken identity and blackmail, Draven was left for dead in the ravaged husk of his ship with nothing but minimal emergency life support still operating. His life was saved by Kosmic K-9, who had pursued the drifting ship out of sheer curiosity seeing such an unfamiliar spacecraft so close to Earth. He found Draven heavily injured, delirious and shaking huddled in a corner of the ship's mess hall. Crazed by whatever terrors his mind had created or more likely, recreated, Draven scrambled to distance himself with a dragging limp, completely deaf to Kosmic's claims that he only wanted to help.
He didn't get very far before he collapsed from his various injuries , Kosmic barely managed to catch him before he hit the unforgiving metal floor. As he repositioned his grip to carry the fading feline, he heard him whisper in a rattling croak, "I hope they burn you first." With that his whole body went limp, but Kosmic could still hear the faint heartbeat holding.
After he was nursed back to health on Earth, Draven invoked the archaic life debt tradition of the Nox people; swearing sword and flesh to Kosmic K-9 until death or dismissal. Not to say there wasn't some selfish motive behind the extremely old fashioned gesture; with Earth registered as a neutral outlier, he was basically sitting under a huge Hands Off sign courtesy of the very Allied Council housing the bastards that had orchestrated the attempt on his life. To this day he won't discuss what happened on his ship before Kosmic found him. Just for the briefest second that wide eyed irrational fear will flash across his face when their 1st meeting comes up, only to get wiped away with a quick shake of his head.

Typically goes after criminals and debt jumpers, also occasionally takes on a missing person if the reward is sweet enough (or he's bored and going especially stir crazy). It also affects his smuggling from time to time when clients/cargo don't quite sit well with his gut instincts for whatever reason.
