Everyone else is doing it, so I’m going to be a little title thief too :3 It’s honestly pretty perfect and embodies exactly what this pic is supposed to show.
This was very thoughtfully gifted by Ghooostie and was originally supposed to be a little Valentines pic for the two ladies, but luckily it works just fine as an anytime picture! And ahhhh, it’s so cute, I love it! I love that it shows just how comfortable with each other they are, just quietly spending an evening in together enjoying one another’s company. There was much discussion about what that book might be about. My favorite interpretation was that its a fairytale as a cute little joke about Ashura being a fairy hehe. Plus, fairytales are always fun!
I love how the artist drew their scales, I’ve come to really like that kind of look for scaled characters. And I just adore the little subtle, or not so subtle details about their expressions and interaction. Ashura’s hand on Avilyn’s just makes me so happy. It’s such a small little thing, but it says so much! And Avilyn’s knowing, sly grin, clearly more interested in the fairy bean than the fairytale. Can you blame her, Ashura is such a cutie <3
This is such a gorgeous piece, and it was so worth the wait! But on a more serious note, that carpet looks awfully close to that open fireplace. Seems like a fire hazard potentially. I hope those girls are careful!
