This is a picture of my Alien character Gerrik being silly. As you can see he's very flexible and this is just mild at best.
Gerrik is a Shad'hir an alien known as a devourer of planets, though technically that's an overstatement, he doesn't actually eat PLANETS just all of it's inhabitants.
Shad'hir are very similar to a cat in appearance and behavior, however they are more like Monotremes in that they lay eggs. They are technically asexual creatures and both "males" and "females" can lay eggs.
Their bones are metal and while they keep the Shad'hir's body shape, it doesn't mean they are totally rigid and prevent such feats as this one. They are double jointed and their able to dislocate parts of their bodies to be able to move. Also they can basically fit into anything their head can.
Having the ability over shadows and darkness (not as spells as actual shadow and lack of light), they thrive in caves more than out in the open,being for the most part nocturnal. This also helps them get into trouble because they can shadow shift into other areas such as inside a Computer or a cabinet, though sometimes this causes them to break what ever their inside. UV Rays can damage their skin worse than it does to humans, in some instances of being dragged and restrained under UV Lamps their skin literally melts off their bodies. This is possibly due to some origins of their ancestry, Shad'hir calling the first of their kind the Shadow of the Stars.
Gerrik is a hybrid type, full breed Shad'hir are actually small octopus looking creatures with twenty tentacle arms and one giant eye, the full breeds are parasites that merge into other creatures via their shadow and taint the creature's real body into a Hybrid Shad'hir, to feed on their life energy very very slowly. Hybrid Shad'hir are the only kind that can breed. Shad'hir years are human years divided by two. Gerrik is 16 human years, but 8 of his years, he won't be able be mature enough to breed until he's 15 his years, that's 30 in our years.
Anyways, this is Gerrik, he's my first Shad'hir character, however not my only, so you may see other Shad'hir soon pop up in my Gallery.
