Meet the Okkal!!

While I have shown Cybertronian Pigs, the Razorbacks, these animals are actually one of the largest contributors to the meat industry on Cybertron.
These animals have stout digging hands to get to food and sensitive feelers on their face, said feelers double up as a "hand" of sorts, allowing them to sift through softer ground and move it towards their mouth once they've detected it.

Being docile and capable of bearing a lot of meat when slaughtered, this makes them an ideal food source.

Unhealthy Okkal - akin to battery hens, these are Okkal that've been raised in cramped conditions and force fed to generate as much product as possible with little regard for the animals health and well-being. They have stunted eyes, poor digging skills and underdeveloped feelers.
This kind of Okkal has been widely phased out due to public outcry over the poor treatment of the animals. Alas there are a few places that still breed this kind of animal, but they're just... not as public about it.

Feral Okkal - A TRUE Okkal, these are what the Okkal originally looked like (I.E. these are the boars to our pigs). They're still packed with meat, just less, but much more armoured and capable of defending themselves. They have longer, thinner feelers that can be used for a surprising few things that require dexterity you wouldn't expect. So they're not exactly an animal one should approach without caution as they can do heeeefty damage when provoked.

Naturally, as the war started Okkal are few and far between, they're prized when found as they can provide a good chunk of food for starved troops living on rations.
However, there are a few pockets of feral Okkal living on Cybertron. Well, it's believed so, there have been some potential sightings but as much as the possible food would be beneficial they have not been investigated.


So tadaaaaa another random bit of world building for the Extriverse. So enjoy these Cybertronian animals.
