Riding hood's shadow 39
Maria twirled a few times with a light laugh as snow fell all around them. Shadow jumped around in added excitement with Maria's gleeful display. She laughed more seeing him dance around with her as the snow started to fall heavier.
After a few minutes Maria stumbled a bit and leaned against Shadow. His ears perked a bit seeing if she was alright. She smiled and said she just lost her footing a bit but was fine. The cold was starting to pick up and she hugged her cloak around her.
"We should start heading back home" She said with a smile, her hand still leaning against Shadow's shoulder. She tried to take a step forward but found her feet weak suddenly and stumbled, falling to the ground. She managed to catch herself before fully falling over and looked up at Shadow's concerned whimper. Nudging her with his snout.
"It's alright Shadow. I just got a lil dizzy. It's nothing" Maria replied to his nudge, rubbing her hand on top of his snout. She held onto it a bit as he pulled back up, pulling her to her feet.
With her hand on his shoulder she cautiously tried to take a step and her feet were still weak, but she didn't fall as held onto Shadow's shoulder, swallowing nervously.
Despite her reassurance he could tell something was up and after a moment he leaned down and bumped his body against her waist. Losing her grip on his shoulder as he ducked down she stumbled forward and fell across his back. Embarrassed, she apologized as found herself laying across his back. He shook his head with a soft snort and shifted around getting her more securely on his back.
She finally understood him and slowly reached over and got a good grip on him. Once Shadow was content with her grip he stood back up on all fours and started walking toward the cabin, Maria riding on his back safely.
