Up to now we know nothing much about Nick Wilde's past, and we certainly don't know anything about his father either.
Perhaps his father, rather like Superman is a superpowered being from another planet and came to Earth. There he met the future Mrs. Wilde and they both betrothed, married and had a son together.
There after, his father leaves Earth for undisclosed reasons but promises one day he will return to be with his wife and son once more.
(Obviously it's just a parody and is intended for fun. I do not own these characters or it's themes and belong to DC and Disney respectively)
