The character is basically the avatar of a cosmic being who uses the Allison persona to have a life and adventure that entity would not otherwise be able to have. This adventure, as I was told, involves some moderate growth and a huge increase in physical ability. I'm not clear on the extent, but it was enough to lift a large car.
