An actual art piece from me? In the year of 2022? I know, I can't believe it either.
After hearing about Gilbert Gottfried this week I finally buckled down and hammered away for some 15 hours straight and got this huge piece of design and pattern work done.
I went hard on recreating patterns associated with their respective nationalities and traditional dress. I am aware that Iago is technically wearing more Ottoman Empire-era dress than what might be considered ancient Arabian like Agrabah, but it fits him, I think.
Yes, they’re definitely gay and yes I have come up with a backstory where they possibly meet in a diplomatic gathering of their respective royal courts and fall in love with scandal, heartbreak and, of course, the odd kinky shrink-gressery magic will be involved, do you even have to ask at this point?

Hey, it may have been some time, but the wait was more then worth to share the hard work you clearly put into this ;D
And I suspect I may know quite a bit of this backstory...or played a bit of a hand in some details...especially that latter, oh so 'transformative' bit of their romance >;3 Still! Quite the right time for an homage for a late actor's best roles...and maybe a little something more too~ Great work Kewp!

I see a good bit of Iznogoud in Iago's design, though it may be the shortness plus the shameless treachery, lol. Awesome choices of patterns as well, I feel like it's something that's very underutilized with furry art and fantasy art in general, even accounting for them being kind of a pain to work with.
