Tanuki can't help but celebrate every good moment they get.
They are known to be holly jolly animals playing their belly drums in
harmonious joy. And with this month’s Lunar Festival coming up right
around the corner. This weekend was no different. The Kemori Lunar Festival was
a welcoming of all new beastmen through the gates and celebrating the
new face of the moon with a hardy howl.
One of the first things the tanuki royals did was celebrate with a Kagami-biraki
ceremony. As much as Kaede enjoyed spending time with the Council members
of the Imperial Court, she couldn’t help but feel left out of the Kagami-biraki
ceremony. She was not old enough to drink sake as everyone else did. Instead,
she drank delicious orange juice from her sakazuki.
