So, the theme for
Carnival this month was 'April Jewels', which could include gems or jewellery, and I've had a few pictures with me wearing interesting things on necklaces... also mentioned as well was the fact that one of the streaming days would be April 22nd as Earth Day. And combining those two led to this idea, playing with Jenora as a star goddess with the Earth on a necklace. And wow, did Carni get an ethereal divine look here.
Posting it now because it's just started being Earth Day over in Australia where Carni is (well, almost an hour ago now). That way it's up for the appropriate day no matter where on the planet you are.

A reveal? I'm not sure there's a astronomy-specific word...
There are multiple words for blocking light (occultation) but the ones for unblocking it seem all a lot more generic.
(Heck, there's an odd specific term in chess called a 'discovered check', which is when you put the king in check from one piece by moving a different piece to unblock the line of attack.)

"You got to look real hard
There's a fiery star
Hidden out there somewhere,
Not the satellite of love
But a laser shooting out
Its shiny tongue there,
Goddess Love, Goddess War
Gentle-preacher tell me more
Lady redeem me, am I pure?
As pure, as pure as heaven
Scent your honey, sent you flowers,
One could worship you for hours
In whose hands are we anyway?"

Welcome, you! That was a slight variation on the lyrics to Erasure's song 'Star', from 'Wild! (1989)', and I am happy I could share it with you, tuned properly for relevance to you and the drawing above, Jenora.

I'm happy to share a song you might end up liking anyway, into the bargain, Jen, so thank you for allowing me to send it your way. I mean, being a star yourself, it's only fair.
Erasure has been the source of many of my philosophical digressions, as well as lyrics frequently written like a fantasy or speculative fiction narrative. I'm fond of Always (I think it was on I Say, I Say, I Say; I know it wasn't on Wild!) although if I'm remember the album it was on it's not my favourite track. Mostly it's because of how often I've heard the song on the radio, before owning the whole pressed CD; the impact is somewhat dulled. But it's still a really swell song, and one heck of a good album en toto.
Star wasn't my first love on Wild!; that would've been Blue Savannah, but it's got plenty of excellent tracks on it; for me it's as much of a beginning-to-end album listen as I Say, I Say, I Say. Star grew on me, though, and it's a Youtube video and a track put into my active Foobar2000 playlist I really dig watching and listening to now.
