The entire point of the conversions were to bulk them up. I am highly considering ordering some shields from khador infantry and putting them onto my warjacks as "strap on" armor.
I like dirty, trenchers are my favorite models and while they may not be as good as they were anymore I do plan to buy them and the commandos.
