And, continuing on the theme from the last picture, this is Alicia, the main character from the Sketch Upgrade stories. An artist of mixed Jamaican/Irish heritage attending college for an animation degree, and somewhat accidental mage. Here looking over what she's working on and comparing it to what's in her head as she figures out what to do next.

That looks like a tablet stylus as opposed to a brush (that she might use when 'composing' Lyta and her adventures together) but I suspect that's exactly what it is, given the physical anatomy of what my own stylus looks like, and Alicia being in animation school in what I assume is our modern day or not long prior to it; stylus-and-tablet artwork in college is I suspect worlds more standard-issue than when I was a student at Sheridan College in the second half of the 1990s.
(I also strongly suspect
rjbartrop has a graphics tablet and stylus for this picture's reference, among other uses, as I do. This is not unusual! <3)

Well, hello, good chummer! Long time no digital headbump; I'm hoping you and your family are well, and I wish by your Wyrd your best in staying healthy and happy. I finally got my 2005-era Wacom Intuous working with archival drivers- and installed them and my tablet properly, which was a big part of my struggle- back near the beginning of the pandemic in the spring of 2020, and I've been learning how to use my tablet for drawing with a handful of programs supporting pen pressure and tablet & stylus since then.
I don't think I've ever included my stylus in a drawing, tho' being that it would be in my left hand while I did so, I'd probably do it from memory rather than looking at my hand with stylus therein while I drew it. Right now I only have the one stylus with my one tablet, which I doubt is unusual. I'm really glad you've been staying heartily active in your drawing work, not a few of which you've done in commission for Jenora. I adore your drawings of her tigress-Exotic biosculpt Huntress, and DeeDee happily making sure her big tigress friend is kept out of trouble or trouble kept away from Huntress in proper measure. The werewolf-cyborg bartender; shades of Dolf in 'The Butterfly Effect'! <3
I'm at least glad I was reasonably sure I knew what you drew in Alicia's hand above, and thank you for the kindness of that confirmation and the wonderful treat of your response into the bargain, Richard. Be good to yourself, and have yourself an excellent day ahead!
