When Captain Bruda and her Laughing Skull crew captured a ship of archeologists, she was disappointed expecting they would just fetch for standard sub-standard ransom payout. But she decided to humor them when their pleas mentioned the discovery of ancient temples on a lost jungle planet and had dreams of the treasures within.

Upon landing, they find enormous snake effigies carved in stone encircling towering ziggurats. Eager for the wealth within, Bruda sprints inside one to find an altar with the tattered remains of whatever spiritual significance the previous occupants had. Bruda didn’t care about any of that. Instead she was after the massive emerald carved into the shape of an egg held in the coils of a jade snake. Lifting the emerald into the setting sunlight that was peaking through an opening in the back of the temple, Bruda heard a voice.

What is it that you seek?

“All this loot obviously. That was the deal, you eggheads show us the treasure and we’ll maybe let you go.” Bruda replies as she continues to fixate upon her illuminated gem.

You claim you are looking for wealth. But I have seen into your heart. It is not what you desire. Speak the truth and it shall be yours!

Turning around expecting to see one of her captives trying to pull some kind of fast one on the clever hyena, Bruda saw she was alone. Looking deeper into the gemstone in her hands, she realized that the voice was coming from it. Well not exactly. The voice was within her head but it was coming from an entity trapped within the emerald egg that she had awakened.

“Ok, yes. Money is nice but I want to rule. Strength. Control. The Ultimate Power. I want to hold dominion over the entire Universe!”

YES! Free me and I shall grant you all the power you could imagine!

Without hesitation, Bruda smashed the priceless gem onto the stone floor. As it shattered, a smoky shape began to swirl around the muscled hyena. No, swirled is the wrong term for it. Instead it would be more apt to say it was “coiling” around Bruda. It took on a more corporal snakelike form, growing in length and emanating a mist to grant Bruda her wish.

As she took a deep breath to inhale the miasma, Bruda quickly grew to ten feet tall and expanded with even more muscle. ‘If I get all this from just a whiff, I can’t wait for the whole thing,’ Bruda thought to herself. Grabbing the tail of the serpentine entity surrounding her, she quickly started shoving it down her maw before it could react.

STOP! WHAT ARE YOU DOING! THIS WAS NOT PART OF THE DEAL!

The snake entity quickly coiled its remaining length around Bruda’s arms and neck. But it was too late. With direct access to the source, Bruda surged with even more size and strength. She had no difficulties wrenching her massive arms free and a flexing of her swelling neck muscles quickly freed herself from the coils that had futility attempted to suffocate the ascending Captain.

Quickly running out of room inside the stone building, the ever growing hyena slurped down the remaining length of formerly trapped then freed and now trapped again snake entity. ”You said I would have all the power I could imagine. You said you read my true heart’s desire. You should have known I have a vivid imagination for what I can truly obtain.”

With that, the growth of massive hyena accelerated even more. In one moment she had managed to fill the vaulted ceilings of the giant stone ziggurat. The next she burst free sending a shower of rocks to fall on her former crew and captives. She didn’t care. She had access to Ultimate Power and none shall stand in her way.

As she grew, changes began to manifest. First, her tusks elongated into fangs while her tongue lengthened and became forked. Her eyes became slitted while her nose recessed to simply a pair of nasal slots. She was gaining the features of a snake!

Distracted by this, she hadn’t realized she had already outgrew the world she was once standing on and was now effortlessly drifting in space. While playing with the toy balls orbiting her that were once called planets, Bruda had a moment of worry. At first she thought that somehow the snake had returned and was getting its revenge by binding her legs together. Panic set in when even her immense strength couldn’t splay her limbs apart but was abated when looking down and seeing that it was her own transformations had fused them together to form a spotted serpentine tail. A tail that continued to lengthen even as her whole godly form continued to expand.

She had enough will to ensure she retained her massive arms and torso, resembling a naga more than a pure snake. But still she grew. Where once she was able to toss around planets like they were pebbles, soon she was grasping stars. Stars soon became systems, them clusters. Galaxies!

”YES! ULTIMATE POWER! NOW I TRULY HOLD DOMINION OVER THIS ENTIRE UNIVERSE!

BUT WHY STOP NOW?

A couple weeks ago I got a chance to finish my set of characters facing off with AnpuRa’s Wheel Of TF. Bruda came up big (literally) when she got Universal Macro to go with her snake/naga TF. She certainly wears it well although I’m also concerned because I know she will abuse the power if she remains unchecked.
