One of my projects for the year is to start on this comic. The purpose is to attempt to tell an entire story without context. Which mostly means that for this comic there will be no dialog and I'm not allowed to actually explain anything of what's going on. I can talk about the act of drawing it itself, but am not allowed to provide context. It's also a way to kind of force me to keep drawing backgrounds. And one of the things I really had to try and get over is the fact I'm forcing myself to do something I'm not good at and therefore should accept that it isn't going to be at super high quality right out of the gate. I eventually want to print this story out as three separate art books, so I'll probably just go back and start redrawing everything once I get close to that point as by that time my art should have massively progressed at that point.

The only context I will provide is that the story starts out in the late 1700's, and as you can guess from the title, goes on until the late 2700's. This way I have a span of the past, present and future. That said, events are not going to pan out the same way. Partly because of how annoying it'd be to have to put in so much research regarding each and every major event, but it'd also be a bit off-putting to basically do a "greatest hits" of sorts for the last 250 years, showing how they turned the tides or whatnot and yet everything still keeps going on exactly the same way. Trick will be how to show how these events are going to unfold without dialog, but that's my challenge for this comic. We'll see how well it does.
