Recently, I adapted one of my older characters to D&D, and wanted to share him here. When last we saw Jick, he was a homeless street urchin scrounging for whatever he could sell. It looks like now, in the course of his scrounging, he found a strange bottle that opened up (literally!) a whole new world of possibilities to him.

So, what do I mean by "Accidental" Warlock? In his new D&D canon, when Jick found the strange bottle, he had no idea what was inside. With a bit of effort, he managed to open up the golden stopper, releasing the genie inside. This genie then proceeded to fool Jick into forming a pact with it, essentially tricking the poor little kobold into becoming a vessel for its power and will.

In other words, just by finding the wrong bottle at the wrong time, Jick is now a magically-powered adventurer, whether he wants to be or not! Of course, it's not all bad. Being able to enter the genie's bottle at will is a great way to hide from threats, and it's pretty comfortable in there. He did really frighten himself the first time he fired off an Eldritch Blast, however, as also seen in the picture...

I may end up getting some more artwork of D&D Jick in the future, but for now, I just wanted to show off his reboot. Maybe I'll even give him a stat block and a short story. :)
