It's looks very fantasy-like to me! Fantasy often borrows elements from history that is familiar to us... Like from paintings and designs of the romantic period. I tend to think that the romanticed depiction of vagabond gypsies is rather mysterious and close to types seen in fantasy RPGs, art and literature. =)
