And since I've obviously been having the Sketch Upgrade story on my mind and where I'm going (and trying to kick myself into writing more) here's another picture of Aonbheannach, this time by 
WolfPsalm... basically sitting on the end of her bed in the convention hotel, wearing her name badge and lanyard, and deliberately looking a little more 'dignified' because she's not at home. She'll shapeshift back to human form again before going back out to deal with the general public.

Yes, there's a certain amount of 'really, why wouldn't they?' in the idea. Even before the furry fandom as such, science fiction cons were very openly places where 'weird' people went to hang out with each other, and the first Worldcon dates back to 1939. If you're a shapeshifted non-human looking for others, there are certainly worse places to look...
