Even though he bullies his prey a bunch, he also knows he needs to turn them in to get his due compensation. However, he also expects them to behave before he does so! Forcing them to get nice and relaxed until before he turns them in. Whether that happens after an a few minutes of a day just depends on them! He gets a nice full belly as long as they're in there, so he doesn't mind it!
