The desert, and failure dish of the day. The sauce was supposed to be a sort of pan custard, flavoured with whiskey, but it just wouldn't hold together, the three times we tried making it.

Maybe a little to much alcohol content? Alcohol can denature proteins and make things not quite work. like the horror of jello shots with everclear.
