A couple of months if I hustle! memorizing all the forms it the hardest part.

Awesome. And memorizing forms isn't too bad if you get them on video. Just break them up into segments of moves and repeat those segments until you have them down. Then try working from the start, adding one segment at a time until you can do that much from memory. How many patterns do you need to have memorized for this grading?

There are 21 but only one that I've never done before for the final first dan test. It's the most complicated one of course x.x Half of them are original to my school but it is a good idea to search youtube videos of the tests.

A lot of times Instructors will allow you to film them performing the pattern for training purposes. It couldn't hurt to ask

Wow. I did take Taekwondo a long time ago, but my folks took me out it since they felt I wasn't showing disiplince for the art. I'm sorry if I didn't spell that right. I hope you keep going and one day get your black belt.
