I watched this footage of a Kirby game for GameCube that was never released, and I saw an enemy that flew by shooting fire out of its trunk. that is Based. I had to check a wiki in the hope that it appeared in an actually released title. It was in Kirby's Air Ride under the name 'Heat Phanphan,' but weirdly it looks like it flies using its ears as wings. Someone on the Kirby for Nintendo GameCube team made the executive design to alter the execution of an aspect of this one enemy's design.

Interesting, I didn't know that since... well, I haven't really played any of the Kirby games, just watched some gameplay videos looking for certain things. Looks like I'll have to look some more!
Always loved toony stuff like that trunk cannon. Obviously volcanoes are my favorite to see stretching and squishing and all that, but honestly anything of that sort works too! Cannons, smokestacks/chimneys, pipes..
And I just figured it was a reference to that because I've recently seen some animations by someone else based on it.
