Something I drew once a long time ago. I'm yanking some stuff off of my DA and putting it here just so I have something.
This guy is something out of a message board RP I started once. The RP is entitled Invasion of The Fold. Unfortunately, that board got hacked, and everything was lost, including the RP.
Yes, his right hand is a gun. An organ within the gun makes bone projectiles, and another organ makes gel blobs of concentrated methane and other concentrated biological volatile substances. The gun itself is formed from cartilige under the skin, and the bullet chamber and the barrel itself where the bullet passes though is made of bone.
A bone projectile is positioned in front of a gel globule. A biological chemical reaction creates a spark which ignites the globule, causing it to explode and propell the bone bullet at speeds almost as fast as a real bullet.
The projectile, being organic, contains The Agent (a microscopic organism that modifies any living being it infects to be stronger, faster, etc with emphasis to the traits that are most advantageous to that species as well as links the individual's mind to The Fold hive mind) within itself and on it's surface. So if a shot from this weapon doesn't kill you, it will Enfold you.
That sword is also made of bone. It joins up at the elbow. It is held in a sturdy position by that extra fleshy stuff. The bone sword is coated with a thin layer of an oily substance that also contains The Agent. So, if you are not killed by the sword you will become Enfoldened.
Storywise, I kind of regret thinking this up. The Agent, in my mind, never makes transformations this extreme. With the exception of the main character of the RP, of course. The main character willingly became Enfoldened as part of a deal with The Fold negotiated through a captive Enfoldened Human. Becoming Enfoldened willingly removes all of the body's resistance to the process, and The Agent can do more extreme things. In return for allowing himself to become Enfoldened, the main character of the RP was transformed into a wolf and given command of an Enfoldened pack. He became the main enemy to contend with.
Creativity-wise, I love it. I mean, who woulda thought of a guy with a bone sword sticking out of his arm, and the other arm being an organic gun?
Criticism-wise... I know I did okay on the camo, but when I got to the arms and head, whatever I had kinda just left me. I couldn't do it right for the life of me. I'm pretty sure it's the whole "left brain interfering with the right brain" thing, identifying the arms as arms and the head as a head, interfering with the right brain's ability to see and think in terms of colors, shades, and textures. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. :P
