How is it that every time ANY combination of characters meets up in this strip there's instantly sexual tension? Now I'm suddenly imagining Vizlet and Elim seeing each other a lot more frequently and a lot more intimately. And of course Beizel watches from the shadows, joining in from time to time.

Besides having good hearing. Theres probably loads of macro-behaviors that Kass does that gives them away as not being a Yinglet until recently. The zero sex drive, the constant look of utter disappointment in everything, the volcabulary she uses, the lack of concern with interacting with humans....
I'm sorry that your DA post of this OOP strip is being spammed by ( most likely Russian ) Russian invasion of Ukraine deniers who refuse to acknowledge the scores of civilians being slaughtered by the Russian forces. I really hope those two guys posting anti-Ukrainian Russian conspiracy theories lose all or at least most of their Deviantart watchers. Slava Ukraine!!
More than anything, a villain really needs to suit the needs of a story, and what it's hoping to accomplish!
Personally, I tend to enjoy antagonists of the philosophical, or sympathetic/relatable villains. But a plain old evil-asshole villain can make for a super engaging and satisfying story if written well, in the right kind of story!

The question is, 'How many people are looking through the pages to see if a certain sneaky yinglet is eavesdropping in one of the panels.
Somehow I feel like the the near fiasco involving shouting, smashed walls, and further exclamation at a certain enclave would be culprit.
Whatever the case, we learn though Beizel that eavesdropping and spying are fun!
The question is, 'How many people are looking through the pages to see if a certain sneaky yinglet is eavesdropping in one of the panels.

Most of them actually are much closer to the "androgynous" center of things! Most of the males in particular, as females have been breeding for feminine traits pretty hard for almost a century now.
Trans-masc yings would go about shaving off their tailpoofs, although in their extremely heavily gender-coded society, just refusing to be kept in the central buildings under guard and partake in the breeding program would be like burning one's bra in the 1950's, times a billion : D

I love the guard yinglet’s genuine distraught over Kass not being able to do a neck-scratch as if it’s of great importance.

I’ve been rereading the comic as well as my comments, and I realize on page #121 I did in fact accurately predict Beizel finding out about Kass’s transformation through his own means.

Yep! I knew I loved our intelligence officer moment I saw him. Beizel sitting happily in, with no contesting, 2nd place. Viz will always hold top spot natch but I adore these too.
That flex tho... Both in being as openly face front about "I know the THING!" Without just saying it directly and in leaving. I imaging that "aroooound" was said in as singsong-y way possible JUST to further get under Viz's skin. XD

I love this page because in panel 3, the comic suddenly turns into an episode of The Muppet Show. Close shot of the short characters entering past the curtain, then pull back to show the human. The yinglets don't use their arms, except the guard, and his arm is controlled by the puppeteer by moving the spear. Likewise, Beizel's tail is on a stick. It's a shame nobody throws themselves dramatically backward against the bed.
