Why eight?

There was a dorky explanation that the thieves never used real names to protect their identity, and there's a trio Khajiit -- Skewerfang, Eight-Claws, and Skoomatongue. Eight-Claws is extremely sneaky, but isn't much of a planner, and is known for winging it when cornered. It's said the only reason he never ends up a pelt in front of somebody's fire because he's blessed by the Eight divines, thus... Eight-Claws.

The ended up in a more modern version of reality after a dragon break caused their timelines to diverge into unexpected paths. </nerd>

His real name is S'rahjin, but he tends to go by Eight-Claws.
