Francis is getting harassed on his way home from work (he's carrying his shoes but they just look like scribbles right now) by Carlos.

I'd imagine that Carlos has probably just said something very inappropriate and that's why Paolo (the guy driving) is rolling his eyes and looking like he wishes he weren't there.

It's probably also why Francis looks like he might clobber Carlos with his shoes.
