ACT 05- REPRISAL, The origin of this chapter title is multifaceted. A reprisal is an act of retaliation, and I felt multiple characters in the narrative at this point are attempting to fight back against the forces that constrain them. Fox, Krystal, and Scales are all engaging in their own acts of reprisal in Act 05.

Author’s Commentary
After reading this chapter it should become very apparent that I have intentions of making much greater use of Krystal and Scales. SF:Adventures gave both characters painfully little screentime, going so far as to even denying the player a chance to fight Scales in a boss fight (the game baits you and ends the fight as soon as you attack Scales, triggering a cutscene.) As you continue to read this fanfiction, I hope you appreciate the amount of additional character I give to both the protagonists and the antagonists. Also, since I had given Fox the ‘artifact’ in a prior chapter we finally get to see its use as a weapon. It made no sense how Krystal psychically told Fox how to use the staff at the start of the game, so here I let Fox begin to uncover the artifact’s secrets on his own.
