While I'm finishing commissions, I made a quick sketch of... Rafiki's possible lion design. I'm not sure I like it, looks too similar to his original mandrill design.

I bit more mane for the top of the head and more lion features in the face he'd look more lion. But I can see both lion and mandrill

Maybe I will try again later. But I realized that mandrills look a lot like lions in general (they have big mane, large nose, sharp long fangs...)

Maybe less red on the nose and more mane starting on his forehead? That might help methinks
