Phew! (faints)

Commission for a family friend on behalf of a relative: beloved pet Tilly, who recently crossed over the Rainbow Bridge.

This wasn't so much a push out of my comfort zone, but more of a drop-kick-out-of-an-aeroplane-with-no-parachute out of my comfort zone :lol: I felt pretty flattered and a bit terrified that the friend would ask me for such a commission, and I thought that coloured pencil was the best option since it's been a very long time since I last used paints and I didn't feel confident with that.

After I was given a photo to work with, I looked up YouTube tutorials on the subject of drawing pet portraits. So many great videos that gave me excellent advice and guidance :) I very much recommend looking up Bonny Snowdon regarding pencil portraits, her videos really gave me the confidence I needed :) doing little practice drawings along with some of the videos really helped, too!

This took me over 100 hours over the span of about 2 and a half months, and I'm pleased to say that the client was immensely happy with the results
